Verdant Canon is a permanently non-medical, offline archive for classical texts and plant-related literature. This page provides product support only. It does not provide medical, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, treatment, or medication advice.

When reporting a problem, please include:

• App version and build number
• iPhone, iPad, or Mac model
• iOS, iPadOS, or macOS version
• The page involved and steps that reproduce the issue
• A screenshot that contains no private notes, notifications, or other sensitive information

Do not send symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, medication records, identity documents, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information by email.

2. Frequently asked questions

2.1 Does the app require an account or an internet connection?

No account is required. Core features—including historical-work and plant-name records, editions, documentary relationships, collection and catalogue records, and the private on-device archive—work offline. The system browser opens an external website only when the user actively selects a fixed source, collection, rights, privacy-policy, or support link.

2.2 Where are bookmarks, history, and notes stored?

They are stored in the app’s local sandbox and are not automatically uploaded to a developer server. Users can remove bookmarks, reading history, and notes or clear the corresponding local data in the app.

2.3 How do I export my personal archive?

Use the personal archive export in Settings. The system file interface lets the user select the destination. If the user selects iCloud Drive or a third-party file provider, later storage and transmission are governed by that service’s policy.

2.4 Why will an external source page not open?

External collection and rights pages are maintained by their institutions. They require a network connection and may move or be temporarily unavailable. Record the entry name, source name, and link, then contact support. A temporarily unavailable external page does not automatically rewrite the app’s offline record.

2.5 How do I delete on-device data?

Bookmarks, recent reading records, and notes can be cleared separately in the app. On iPhone or iPad, use the system’s Delete App action—not Offload App, which retains documents and data—to remove all local app data from the current device. On Mac, users can clear their private archive in the app before removing the app. Whether a device backup contains app data, and when a backup copy is deleted, is controlled by the user’s system and Apple backup settings.

2.6 Can the app answer questions about efficacy, dosage, contraindications, or health?

No. Verdant Canon indexes classical texts, editions, plant names, collection records, and bibliography. It does not provide efficacy claims, indications, dosage, contraindications, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, material authentication, or personalized advice.

4. Content and rights concerns

If a source location, attribution, license status, or collection link may be incorrect, email support with the entry name, page location, and verifiable evidence. Receiving a report does not itself establish infringement. The developer will review the first-party rights record and, when appropriate, correct or withdraw the material in a later content pack.

二、常见问题

1. App 是否需要账号或联网？

不需要账号。古籍、草木名称、版本、文献关系、馆藏与目录记录和本机典藏等核心功能离线运行。只有用户主动选择固定的来源、馆藏、权利、隐私政策或支持链接时，系统浏览器才会打开外部网站。

2. 收藏、历史和笔记保存在哪里？

这些资料保存在本机 App 沙盒内，不会由 App 自动上传到开发者服务器。用户可以在 App 中取消收藏、移除历史、删除笔记或清理相应本机资料。

3. 如何导出个人典藏？

在 App 设置中使用个人典藏导出功能。导出文件由系统文件界面交给用户选择的位置；如果选择 iCloud Drive 或第三方文件提供方，后续存储和传输适用相应服务的政策。

4. 为什么外部来源页面打不开？

外部馆藏与权利页面由相应机构维护，需要网络连接，也可能迁移或暂时不可用。请记录条目名称、来源名称和链接，再通过支持邮箱反馈。App 的离线条目不会因为外部网页暂时不可用而自动改写。

5. 如何删除本机资料？

可在 App 内分别清理收藏、最近研读或笔记。在 iPhone 或 iPad 上，如需从当前设备移除全部 App 本地资料，请使用系统的“删除 App”，而不是会保留文稿与数据的“卸载 App”；在 Mac 上，可先在 App 内清除私人典藏，再移除 App。已经存在的设备备份是否包含 App 数据，以及备份副本何时删除，由用户的系统与 Apple 备份设置决定。

6. App 能否回答功效、剂量、禁忌或健康问题？

不能。草木经纬只提供古籍、版本、草木名称、馆藏与书目索引，不提供功效、主治、剂量、禁忌、诊断、治疗、处方、药材鉴定或个性化建议。

四、内容与权利问题

如果发现来源定位、署名、许可状态或馆藏链接可能有误，请通过支持邮箱提供条目名称、页面位置和可核验依据。收到问题不等于承认侵权；开发者会按第一方权利核对流程复查，必要时在后续内容包中更正或撤回。
